Dear participants

With the Poland Iaido and Jodo Summer Seminar approaching we have a little bit of bad news; due to some recent medical attention, Ishido Sensei is unfortunately unable to travel for a few months. He is not in a dangerous situation with his health but his doctor is concerned about his condition while overseas and has therefore advised no travel until he can be treated again.

We have a message from Ishido Sensei.

Dear friends in budo

I hope you are all well and enjoying the changing of the season in your part of the world.

It saddens me to inform you that I am unable to travel for the next couple of months until my medical condition is resolved. There is no need to worry about me, I simply am not able to travel right now.

I have every confidence in the team of teachers from Japan who have the knowledge and capability to make this event a successful one. One of the main objectives of this seminar was to convey the recent advice from the ZNKR iaido committee and the delegation going to Poland are completely competent in carrying out this duty. Should you have any questions or issues, I am sure this team of teachers will be able to resolve them for you.

For the Jodo seminar, Otake Sensei was always planned to lead the teaching of this so my absence should not affect this significantly.

As for the event overall, I encourage you to study hard, train well and, most of all, please enjoy being with each other. I think this is the most important aspect of budo training.
